I’m a marketing and communications professional from Washington, D.C. with more than 15 years of experience working in the mental health advocacy community and companies that sell online learning tools. Currently, I am a marketing director at 2tor, Inc., a company that partners with top-ranked universities to bring their graduate degree programs online, and directs the marketing for the online Master of Social Work program at the University of Southern California School of Social Work. Early in my career I was a social worker who advocated on behalf of older adults. I parlayed my interest in making the world a better place into legislative and communications work on Capitol Hill. I raised awareness about mental health issues and helped secure resources for behavioral health providers who serve people with mental health disorders. I am a freelance writer for The Daily Beast and represented by Kayser Pierce Literary Agency. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Social Work Degree from Columbia University.
